Maternal Grands and Greats

There are gaps here in the pedigree. I do not have images of her dam and sire. She came to me as an adult  dog due to a larger farm dismantle. I was sought out and asked to take her due to her quality and her needing a place to land. Im always hesitant to bring in an adult but this dog has been beyond phenomenal.

Line breeding like this helps to harness those really awesome traits that we see in the dogs. Only quality animals should be line bred on and care should be taken on the litters by the breeder to ensure that all of the animals produced are healthy and mentally solid. These puppies have been closely monitored by me and have been assessed by a veterinarian to ensure that they are sound and healthy. We understand that line breeding isnt for everyone, however some of the best dogs can be produced this way and its also how a type is formed making it a very valuable asset to a breeding program.

Our goal with this line breeding was to harness the overall maturity that comes through in these particular animals. Kyon (grand sire) has been safe with young animals and poultry since a very young and unheard of age. So hos Teja (dam.) Crossing these traits just seemed like a no brainer to us when we began assessing our plans.

We also wanted to embrace the solid bone, width and mass on a smaller dog that the dogs in this cross contribute. The larger the dog the shorter the lifespan, as the vets say. So our goal has been to include the mass of a larger dog and bring it into a smaller size dog. We wanted to keep the strength the mass lends but extend the lifespan on our guardians.

The last thing that was on our mind with this cross is the coats. We wanted to continue to improve on the quality and low maintenance traits in these animals and Kyon himself has one of the best coats Ive ever had.
